Stars and Stripes Dresser

I totally love how this dresser turned out!  Based on a vision that my darling hubby had, we worked together to create this one-of-a-kind beauty.

Going with a patriotic theme, we chose this graphic of an old postcard for the center medallion. Wanting it to be a very subtle piece with a big statement, we chose to paint it in Lamp Black from General Finishes to not overpower the graphic.

I printed and decoupaged it on - then distressed, distressed and distressed some more.

The dresser was already painted white, which gave it a wonderful layered look.

I added some really cute star knobs on the top drawers.

Several coats of General Finishes Flat Top Coat, and it is all done!

We took this to our booth at Through the Garden Gate Antiques yesterday and it sold today!

Wishing you a happy and safe 4th of July.

'til next time!
